Practical Information / A stay at Elcombe Copse is an outdoor adventure where nature rules. In order to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, we have provided the basics.

We provide you with pretty much all you need so please take advantage of hassle free camping at Elcombe Copse and pack light. There is a short trundle down a hill from where you park your car, which is better enjoyed with fewer bags.

Although we have solar lighting in the important areas, it does get dark and cold at night. We recommend you bring along a head torch, extra matches or a lighter, warm layers, towels, sleeping bags for children to provide extra warmth on a cool evening and picnic rugs. Boots and waterproofs are always a good idea too!

There is no electricity on site. This is part of the magic of staying at Elcombe Copse. The starlit skies are spectacular and, in order to preserve the dark skies, we provide gently twinkling fairy lights and candles to light the way. We recommend you come with fully charged phones or take a couple of days away from from your device altogether. A good 4G signal can be found in various spots around the camp.

Elcombe Copse has its own sustainable water supply which is fed by a bore hole on the farm. The water from the taps is fresh and delicious and, unless there is a serious drought, the supply is plentiful. If anyone has any concerns about drinking the tap water, we advise them to bring bottled water.

Sophia and piers’s little paradise provided the best weekend ever, not only did they manage to squeeze in our big group of 19 comfortably but they brought us any extras we needed as well such as games and blankets, and they made us a pub reservation which was lovely. When we arrived the place We couldn’t believe how beautiful and charming the set up was. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, bathroom is emmaculate, there is a lovely chill out spot in the woods. This is an incredible place even for those who don’t like camping!! Thank you for making my birthday one of the bests ones yet!
