Introducing Elcombe Copse / A peaceful and secluded campsite where guests can spend a weekend celebrating a special occasion amongst nature, away from modern day distractions.

Elcombe Copse is hidden in the beautiful South Wiltshire countryside on Elcombe Farm in the quiet and unspoilt village of Alvediston. The campsite is run by Sophia & Piers, owners of the nearby walled garden restaurant, Pythouse Kitchen Garden.

Some say Elcombe Copse is hard to find but, once you get there, it's hard to leave. Sophia & Piers have created a space that is designed and equipped for groups of up to 24 people who want to enjoy nature, light a fire, cook, eat and sleep in the wild.

The 120 acre family-owned farm is in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) and, as such, the owners are very keen to maintain the peace and beauty of the environment. The fields and woodland are yours to explore and use responsibly and your hosts will show you great spots for fun in the outdoors, fantastic walks, the best pubs, and where to spot a roe deer.

The campsite is equipped with all the basic necessities to make your stay in the wild as comfortable as possible. This is camping, but it’s camping in great comfort. During your stay, you’ll be immersed in nature and farm life. Your dedicated team of hosts hope you’ll find this the perfect location for the weekend of a lifetime. Sophia and Piers are lovely hosts, very welcoming and they have thought of everything including all the little things - our fire was lit on arrival with bottles of cider left on our door step on night 2 and bags of marshmallows ready to toast on the fire. Alongside this, due to it being a rainy week, they upgraded us from a bell tent to a gorgeous shepherds hut. Elcombe Copse is incredibly beautiful, the fields are dreamy, the view is incredible and the cows are friendly. The little area to eat your breakfast/lunch/dinner is in the actual copse itself with a fabulous nature mobile. I would highly reccomend staying at Elcombe Copse, you will love it.
